Dewox 220®
Solid paraffinic wax base for temporary protective oils and films.
A solid paraffinic protective wax developed for the formulation of temporary anti-corrosion oils and films, soluble in petroleum solvents for flexible compounding.
Overview
Dewox 220 is a solid paraffinic protective wax developed for formulating temporary anti-corrosion protectives. A brown solid at room temperature, it melts cleanly at 44 °C (111 °F) for easy incorporation into solvent and oil systems.
Insoluble in water and soluble in toluene and petroleum diluents, Dewox 220 gives formulators a dependable wax base for protective oils and films where a controlled melt point and a stable, water-repellent barrier are required.
Chemistry: Paraffinic / petroleum-derived protective wax.
